Home to 40 recording studio – Berryhill is located just south of Nashville. This up and coming neighborhood offers some refreshing choices for food and fun. Berry Hill is the perfect neighborhood to get away from the city life and appreciate the charm and diversity that Nashville offers. With its ever-growing food and entertainment scene, Berry Hill just keeps on surprising us with every corner we explore. Here are some of our favorites.
Morning Java: Our favorite coffee shop is none other than, Sam and Zoe’s. You must check out this cozy coffee shop offering many options such as coffee, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch. You can also check out a fun little pancake house right down the road, The Pfunky Griddle, if you are up to the challenge of cooking your own breakfast. This will surely keep your little ones entertained!
Best Playground: We love Sevier Park. It is located less than 10 minutes from the Berryhill neighborhood. The outdoor playset will sure to be a hit for your little ones, and there are also lots of trails for running or walking your fur babies. The indoor community center is another a great space to use for those raining days. Coleman Community Center is also a great option for those seeking fun after school activities.
Casual Eats: Baja Burrito, you know it’s good because there’s always a line out the door. Not only do they have amazing burritos, fish tacos, and chips and queso, the prices are very reasonable. For a lighter and healthier option, I would highly suggest Calypso Café. It has yummy and healthy option for those who also need to pinch some pennies. Another healthy, new establishment is Vui’s Kitchen. It is a fresh Vietnamese restaurant offering fresh and delicious food from Pho Noodle Soup (YUM!) to Bahn Mi Sandwich.
Family Fun: One of the first Escape Game in Nashville opened its door right in the heart of Berryhill. The Escape Game is such a fun place to bring the family together for some wholesome and mystery solving fun. If your family love movies, you must take them to check out the fun, colorful lit theater, Regal Hollywood, to catch a movie.
Grown-Up Fun: If you are a craft loving person, you must take a trip to The Beaded Bungalow. It’s a crafting person’s paradise. You can take classes on jewelry making or you could take a group of friends. For the beer connoisseurs, be sure and check out, The Sutler, a laid-back bar with yummy food, or The Black Abbey, a brewery with over 25 beers to try.
Staycation Attractions: So you’ve worked a long week, now it’s time to unwind and enjoy your long weekend. For those who love shopping, I highly recommend checking out Nadeau or Gas Lamp Antique. These stores are packed with unique furniture finds and antique decorations that you cannot find anywhere else. For those wanting more of a relaxation experience, I recommend checking out Float Nashville, it is a salt water floating experience, where you are lured to deep relaxation.
Unique Spots: Gilchrist Gilchrist, a family owned shop with loads of shabby chic decors and furniture, winning even the approval of Taylor Swift. Another funky spot to check out is Supreme Kreme. This rolled ice cream shop has instantly become a hit with the locals. You must check it out! For those who are health conscience, check out The Herbal Heart. In this funky little shop, you can find countless herbal remedies for relief instead of taking harsh medications.
