FREE CHRISTMAS EVENTS IN NASHVILLE

This past weekend, the city of Nashville kicked off the Christmas season with its own version of the Macy’s parade. I got to experience the fun floats, the various, festive marching bands, the lovely Grand Marshall-Mike Fisher, and the magical Santa Claus. It was such a wonderful weekend to usher in the Christmas season and get in the Christmas spirit!

The holidays can be very expensive as we buy gifts for everyone on our list. To relieve some of the costs and stresses of the holiday season, I want to share with you some fun family events in Nashville to get in the Christmas spirit without breaking the bank.

Opryland Hotel

At Christmas time, the Opryland Hotel gets transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland. You must bring your whole family to experience the millions of twinkling lights. It’s free to walk around the hotel and enjoy the lights, the 48-foot tall Christmas tree, and the life-sized nativity scene outside. It’s open daily from 4PM – midnight until January 1.

Music City Winterfest

Whether you’re trying to do some Christmas shopping, wanting to get in the Christmas spirit, or just wanting to get the kids out of the house. Music City Winterfest is filled with things to do for everyone. There are local vendors and artisans selling unique gifts, local bands to help you get in the Christmas spirit, and lots of games, crafts, and even a photo-op with Santa! This event is happening December 9th from 10AM-4PM at Centennial Park.

Warner Park’s Winter Story Walk

This event kicks off Dec. 5, and it’s an ongoing, self-guided activity all throughout the winter months from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Warner Park’s Winter Story Walk is the perfect event for the active little ones in the family. Start the hike at Little Acorn Trail and enjoy nature as you walk and wander through the trails to reveal many winter stories.

Now you have no excuses to sit at home. It’s time to enjoy some festive Christmas outings. How Our Employees Celebrate Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving, a time to gather with family to eat delicious food and give thanks. We, at Two Men and A Truck, have so much to be thankful for, but we are most thankful that we get to spend thanksgiving with our family. Thanksgiving is just over a week away, and we cannot wait to spend time with family and eat delicious thanksgiving food.  We also want to share with you some of our favorite traditions.

Our general manager, Nick, loves to eat a whole pumpkin pie and spend time with his family. Chris, Keith and Korey, our operations manager, training manager, and sales manager respectively, also love to spend time with family members they have not seen in a long time and eat yummy food.

Patrick, one of our sales representative, loves to eat thanksgiving food and playing charade with his family. Mathew, another one of our sales representative, loves to eat thanksgiving food with friends since he does not get to go home. Our dispatcher, Darrian, not only loves spending time with family members, but also, he loves to play some friendly rounds of board games. Tips for executing an office move

Whether you’ve outgrown your current office, you are merging with another company, or you’ve got a big new promotion, it’s time to get into that brand new office. Office moves can be stressful, especially, if it is your first time. We want to alleviate the situation by providing you with some helpful tips.

Have a game plan
First, make a timeline and checklist of everything that needs to be done to accomplish the move. Stay in constant communication with the managers to make certain plans are being carried out. For a small office move, you will usually need at least three months to prepare. For a medium to large sized office move, we recommend at least six to eight months. Next, find out the layout of the new office-get a blueprint of the new place and compare the two offices. This way you can troubleshoot any problems of the new layout. If there were any issues or things you disliked about the current layout, you can add plans to the new office to make certain it is move-in ready!

Rally together as a team

For a small office move, it’s a good idea to have at least one person to keep everyone organized. This person needs to stay in constant communication with everyone and make certain things are being accomplished as the time for the move gets closer. For a medium to large office move, appoint a few people to organize and coordinate the packing process and the move. Divide up the tasks and make sure everyone is aware of the timeline for the move.

Give everyone a job
Meet with the move coordinator and discuss timeline for the move and what all needs to be done before the big move. Give everyone a specific job as you prepare for the move. This will not only be more efficient as you make the move, it will also make everyone feel important and included in the big decisions around the office.

Let the world know
Whether it’s notifying your clients, suppliers, or business partners, it’s very important to get the word out about your move. Assign this job to one or two people to specifically reach out to all the business partners and clients to get the word out about the move. Let them know when and where specifically you are moving and how the business will operate during the move. Moving can create a lot of lost in businesses and clients, and by personally notifying your clients and business partner will minimize that risk.

We have over twenty years of knowledge and experience helping hundreds of Nashville businesses, and we would love to help your business make that big move too. Give us a call at 615-248-6288 for a free estimate or visit our website for more information.

Paw Patrol Halloween Boxtumes

It’s that time of the year again, Halloween time. It’s time to dust off those fun costumes and bring out the yummy treats. Whether you prefer tricks or treats, it’s a fun time for everyone in the family to get out to make some new friends and load up on delicious treats.

We, at Two Men And A Truck, love Halloween because we get to showcase and participate in our annual tradition of making boxtumes! What might you ask is a boxtume? Well, it’s a costume make out of our boxes, of course! This year, we decided to make the Paw Patrol gang, Marshall, Chase, and Rocky.

Materials needed for boxtumes:
• Two Men And A Truck medium boxes
Multi-colored construction papers
• Glue sticks or spray glue
• Scissors
• Crafting knife
• Spray paint
• Foil
• Ribbons

Steps to make the boxtumes:
• First, I found some templates for the badges and the wheels
• Next, I found some inspirations online for ideas on how to make each of their accessories.
• Then, I moved onto cutting and trimming all the accessories to prepare for each of the costumes.
• Subsequently, I cut out the boxes for fit a person inside.
• Finally, I glued the accessories onto the boxtumes and added ribbons for the shoulder straps.

We can’t wait to show them off at one of the local Trunk and Treat next Friday. Meet us at Our Savior Lutheran Academy, October 27th from 5PM-7PM. We can’t wait to meet you and give you some yummy treats!

For your boxtume needs, feel free to give us a call at 615-248-6288. We will even deliver the boxes you need right to your doorsteps for free! We would love to help you out with any boxes or moving needs to make your holidays stress-free! Check out our website for more information on other services we offer.

SO YOU’RE MOVING TO THE BERRYHILL NEIGHBORHOOD

Home to 40 recording studio – Berryhill is located just south of Nashville. This up and coming neighborhood offers some refreshing choices for food and fun. Berry Hill is the perfect neighborhood to get away from the city life and appreciate the charm and diversity that Nashville offers.  With its ever-growing food and entertainment scene, Berry Hill just keeps on surprising us with every corner we explore. Here are some of our favorites.

Morning Java: Our favorite coffee shop is none other than, Sam and Zoe’s. You must check out this cozy coffee shop offering many options such as coffee, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch. You can also check out a fun little pancake house right down the road, The Pfunky Griddle, if you are up to the challenge of cooking your own breakfast. This will surely keep your little ones entertained!

Best Playground: We love Sevier Park. It is located less than 10 minutes from the Berryhill neighborhood. The outdoor playset will sure to be a hit for your little ones, and there are also lots of trails for running or walking your fur babies. The indoor community center is another a great space to use for those raining days. Coleman Community Center is also a great option for those seeking fun after school activities.

Casual Eats: Baja Burrito, you know it’s good because there’s always a line out the door. Not only do they have amazing burritos, fish tacos, and chips and queso, the prices are very reasonable. For a lighter and healthier option, I would highly suggest Calypso Café. It has yummy and healthy option for those who also need to pinch some pennies. Another healthy, new establishment is Vui’s Kitchen. It is a fresh Vietnamese restaurant offering fresh and delicious food from Pho Noodle Soup (YUM!) to Bahn Mi Sandwich.

Family Fun: One of the first Escape Game in Nashville opened its door right in the heart of Berryhill. The Escape Game is such a fun place to bring the family together for some wholesome and mystery solving fun. If your family love movies, you must take them to check out the fun, colorful lit theater, Regal Hollywood, to catch a movie.

Grown-Up Fun:  If you are a craft loving person, you must take a trip to The Beaded Bungalow. It’s a crafting person’s paradise. You can take classes on jewelry making or you could take a group of friends. For the beer connoisseurs, be sure and check out, The Sutler, a laid-back bar with yummy food, or The Black Abbey, a brewery with over 25 beers to try.

Staycation Attractions: So you’ve worked a long week, now it’s time to unwind and enjoy your long weekend. For those who love shopping, I highly recommend checking out Nadeau or Gas Lamp Antique. These stores are packed with unique furniture finds and antique decorations that you cannot find anywhere else. For those wanting more of a relaxation experience, I recommend checking out Float Nashville, it is a salt water floating experience, where you are lured to deep relaxation.

Unique Spots: Gilchrist Gilchrist, a family owned shop with loads of shabby chic decors and furniture, winning even the approval of Taylor Swift. Another funky spot to check out is Supreme Kreme. This rolled ice cream shop has instantly become a hit with the locals. You must check it out! For those who are health conscience, check out The Herbal Heart. In this funky little shop, you can find countless herbal remedies for relief instead of taking harsh medications.

Moving Help: And of course, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is always here to help you move into your new home. Give us a call or text at 615-248-6288, and we will gladly take care of the hard parts; so you can have all the fun exploring your new neighborhood and finding your new favorites.
