There’s nothing like unwinding with a little DIY crafting! The Fall themed banner was so well liked that we’re posting another easy DIY banner tutorial! This one is also made from the flaps cut off of a cardboard box.
- Flaps cut from a small – medium cardboard box
- Hot glue gun & multiple glue sticks
- Wooden letters and decorative foam shapes
- Acrylic paint in 2 colors and paint brush
- Scissors or box cutter
Step 1: Using your pencil and ruler, draw 7 dovetail shapes on the cardboard flaps. Carefully cut out.
Step 2: Paint the cardboard shapes with your base color. Lay flat to dry.
Step 3: Paint the wooden letters with the second color. Lay flat to dry.
Step 4: Once dry, glue the yarn around the edge of each cardboard cutout.
Step 5: Next glue the letters to the center of the cutouts.
Step 6: Decorate the shapes with the foam shapes. Some have adhesive backings otherwise use the glue.
Step 7: Glue the shapes to the ribbon.
