TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Virginia Beach named “best place to work”

Written by Chelsea Grzegorczyk

Receiving a “best place to work” award is a great honor, and recently, a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise was awarded just that by The Business Magazine of Coastal Virginia. The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Virginia Beach team – led by Franchisee Kathleen White and General Manager Ted Erhenberg – are true “Movers Who Care®” who live out our core values on a daily basis. We recently had a chance to speak with the team to learn what makes their franchise a great place to work. Check out what the Virginia Beach team had to say:

“I nominated TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Virginia Beach for the ’best places to work’ award because this is a great place to work! It’s not often you wake up and look forward to going to work, but we do every day. Our workplace is fun and busy – you’re always doing something and never just wait for the day to be over. Also, management constantly builds the team up and incorporates us into what they’re doing. They’re always open to suggestions and looking for input.” – Kendal Galloway, office manager

“I love working here. I’ve grown more as a person and become more mature. The team looks out for me and always makes sure I have everything I need to help me better myself. I’ve never had anyone care like the team here.” – Ryan Samuel, mover

“It’s great to work in such a very family-oriented work environment. The management team does a good job motivating us and keeping everyone focused on reaching our goals. I appreciate that we respect one another here, and how we’re able to help customers is rewarding. I look forward to growing here more in the future.” – Chuk Okoli, driver

“What sets our workplace apart from other employers is the care that Kathleen (franchisee) and Ted (general manager) have for their employees. When I started as a mover, Kathleen saw potential in me and encouraged me to be the best I could be. I grew from mover to driver, then lead driver, and now I’m in a management role. I enjoy supporting our team every day.” – Michael Sudderth, move manager

“I think we’re a great place to work because we’re constantly getting feedback from the team on what we could do to make things better. Small things like providing toolboxes and an ice machine go a long way because it’s what the team needs. We make sure everyone knows we are a team, and no one is ever alone. We’re led by Franchisee Kathleen White, who wants everyone to prosper and share in building something together.” – Ted Ehrenberg, general manager

“One of the biggest benefits we provide here is culture. We’ve built our team slowly and only hire the best. We try to engage our staff and provide incentives to keep everyone energized, and Ted (general manager) deserves a lot of credit. He’s great at identifying strengths and bringing the team together, and has contributed a lot to how great our culture is.” – Kathleen White, franchisee

It was obvious when speaking with everyone that they truly feel they are part of something bigger than just their own job. Want to join the team?
